Buster, me laddie, I know we can’t count the number of times we have sworn never to mention the former Very Ugly Ogre of the Oval Office again, but he refuses to go away!He was down in Florida, of course, spouting lies at the CPAC conference, still mostly about how he won the election. Good Grief! I heard John Kerry answer a reporter’s question about his thoughts on Trump. He responded, “Trump is an ignorant boor. He’s narcissistic to the point of distraction, easily manipulated, and completely untrustworthy. On climate, a one-man wrecking crew!” Concise and accurate!
Totally true, pappy, the people who are not ignorant and foolish enough to believe him often actually hate his guts, but such strong emotional feelings being harmful to the person having them, these good folk would be better off just wishing the old rump a rapid trip to the place way down under where he’ll receive his well-deserved reward, and be very warm! The dastardly fellow being confined in the place he has earned, if only in our minds for the moment, is out of the way, and we can concentrate on helping old Unca Joe and Cuz Kamala get our poor old country back to health!
Now, this ain’t gonna be no walk in the park, because old pols, and Unca Joe, although a good guy, has been in this game for a very long time, are not easily drug away from the constant attention of the old lobbyists who have all the answers for him in the form of those real big corporate boondoggles.
Well, Bus, I’ve sent a nice letter to Unca Joe (President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.) to the White House, mentioning a few of your most urgent ideas (actually, of course, your recitation and simplification of the ideas old FDR used to get us out of the Great Depression way back in the 1930’s). I haven’t received a reply from the staff down there, but that’s understandable as they are battling the Trumpian Plague. However, I’ll get in touch with V.P. Harris’s staff to make sure they don’t lose sight of the real objective – getting us all back to work. Repeating an old phrase: “when you’re up to your neck in alligators, it’s hard to remember that your initial objective was to drain the swamp.”
Pappy, I don’t mean to be a pest, but when are ya gonna get Cuz Kamala on board for progress. Right now, old Unca Joe has pigeonholed her with the Border “crisis,” and in the meantime the old lobbyists are urging him to do a “giant boondoggle infrastructure deal, and his pol pals are saying raising your taxes is necessary for this important work!
Your letter, of course, makes clear that this is all “bunk!” So, ya better get busy before the big corporate CEOs take over!
Buster, I have tried my best to get a word in edgewise at the White House, but to no avail. All you get is the standard happy horse manure, “we take careful note, etc., etc.
I’m afraid old Unca Joe is preparing to push for a $2trillion infrastructure bill, which of course, will be the biggest corporate boondoggle of all time! This is exactly how the Dumicrats allowed the Yuge Orange Moron into the Oval Office in the first place. We must and will keep trying, but I can only wish we could be more optimistic!
